Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Does my order quantity affect the price?
A: Yes. The more signs you order (especially of the same kind) the more you save.
Q: What other things affect the cost of a sign?
A: Several variables affect the cost: size, type of material, number of words, color of background, shadowing or outlining of letters, borders, logos, etc.
Q: How long does it take to complete an order?
A: It depends on the type of sign and how busy we are at the time your order is placed. Yard signs, magnetic signs, and vinyl letters are fairly quick (they can even be same day). Other signs, such as screen printed signs and wood signs, can take longer (as much as 2-3 weeks). However, the majority of signs can be completed in one week or less.
Q: Why use screen printing instead of vinyl letters?
A: Screen printing is usually employed if a larger quantity of signs (all the same) are needed. This method can dramatically reduce the cost. With screen printing, however, the more colors you add, the more the cost is increased.
Q: How durable are vinyl letters?
A: Vinyl letters are generally at least as durable as painted letters, but in many cases they are more durable. They are also more easily changed or removed, for instance, with vehicle lettering.
Q: What colors are most visible?
A: Black on yellow is supposedly the highest contrast, but that may be too much for what you are doing. In most cases, the colors should be complementary, with enough contrast to read it well. Using dark colors on a light background or vice versa is usually recommended.
Q: How much lettering should I put on a sign?
A: It depends on the purpose of your sign. Most outdoor signs should be concise and simple. However, with indoor and informational signs, the viewer will be able to take the time and read your copy thoroughly.
